Dharti was born and raised in Gujarat, India, where her passion for physiotherapy began during her own recovery from a fractured tibia sustained while hiking. Inspired by the impact that her physiotherapists had on her recovery, Dharti pursued a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree at Saurashtra University. During her internship, Dharti worked extensively with patients recovering from total knee and hip replacements, gaining hands-on experience in treating musculoskeletal injuries, sports injuries, ligament sprains, and neurological conditions following stroke rehabilitation. She continued practicing as a physiotherapist in India before moving to Canada.

After arriving in Canada, Dharti completed a Diploma in Medical Office Administration at Sheridan College in Oakville, while working as a Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) in long-term care in Oakville. She then pursued further specialization and is now a certified Pelvic Health physiotherapist. Her passion for pelvic health is deeply personal—having watched her beloved Nana struggle with pelvic floor dysfunction and not receive the support she needed. Dharti has since become committed to raising awareness about pelvic health and improving access to care, especially for women.

Dharti is also a certified pessary provider. Having seen firsthand how challenging pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence can be, she is passionate about offering pessary care as a meaningful way to improve quality of life, comfort, and confidence for patients navigating these conditions.

Dharti has worked with diverse populations, including older adults, through her role as a PTA and recreational aide in long-term care homes. She has cared for individuals with Parkinson’s disease, dementia, Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, ALS, and post-stroke conditions. Even after leaving the
long-term care environment, she continues to volunteer in the Behaviour Support Department, giving back to a community she loves.

Through her pelvic health work—especially with prenatal and postpartum patients—Dharti discovered how much she enjoys working with children and supporting new parents during a transformative phase of life. This sparked her interest in pursuing a career in paediatric physiotherapy, where she now provides care for common paediatric conditions, including developmental delays, motor coordination challenges, torticollis, plagiocephaly, toe walking, and gross motor milestone delays.

When she isn’t treating patients, Dharti enjoys staying active—she has even tried extreme sports, such as rafting and paragliding. She enjoys cricket (and played on her college women’s team), badminton, camping, hiking, painting, and cooking, which she uses as one of her favourite ways to unwind.
