Dr. Gamble earned an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Brock University where he graduated with First Class Honours. He was also on the Dean’s Honour List and was the recipient of the 3M Scholarship in Biology.
Upon completion of his studies at Brock University Dr. Gamble attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, where he graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic. As a fourth year clinical intern, Dr. Gamble facilitated the third year clinical case-based course. During this time he also presented to other clinical interns concerning sports injuries and treatment strategies. While at CMCC, Dr. Gamble worked at Sports Performance Centres (SPC), a sports medicine and high performance-training facility located in Vaughn, Ontario where he had the opportunity to work with both professional and amateur athletes. Dr. Gamble has also been employed as an Assistant Instructor for the Lower Limb Orthopaedic Assessment Continuing Education Course for practicing chiropractors.
Dr. Gamble believes that soft tissue treatment and rehabilitation in conjunction with acupuncture and traditional manual medicine techniques provides the most effective combination to address acute, chronic and repetitive strain injuries. This belief has led him to pursue the most up to date research and techniques in assessment, treatment and injury prevention. He has obtained certifications in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, Graston Technique™, Functional Range Release Technique, Active Release Techniques – ART, Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab (FAKTR) Technique and Functional Anatomic Palpation.
This unique combination of treatment options has aided Dr. Gamble in treating athletes from a variety of backgrounds including the NHL, CFL, OHL, as well as National and Olympic class athletes. Throughout his years in practice, Dr. Gamble has developed a particular interest in assessing and treating running injuries. He has taken numerous courses in gait assessment, injury rehabilitation, orthotic management and soft tissue assessment and treatment. Dr. Gamble has worked with runners of all classes from beginner to recreational half and full marathoners to World Class.
Aside from his professional pursuits, Dr. Gamble has participated in numerous sports including hockey, basketball, soccer, as well as being a nationally ranked track and field athlete. Dr. Gamble worked as a personal trainer for many years both locally and throughout Toronto. Dr. Gamble was a Level 4 hockey official, having refereed in numerous Provincial Championships and the Ontario Hockey Association (OHA).
Currently, Dr. Gamble is one of sixteen soccer referees on the Canadian National List of Officials. He is also one of four Canadian referees currently refereeing in Major League Soccer. During the season Dr. Gamble has the opportunity to travel throughout the United States and Canada.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Gamble is a member of the Advisor Board for the Brock University Med Plus Program, is a facilitator for the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine at McMaster University, is an examiner for the Canadian Chiropractic Examining Board (CCEB) and previously was part of the interview admissions team for CMCC. He also lectures to numerous companies and organizations on workplace injury prevention and treatment.
