Dr. Troy Findlay is a graduate of a 4-year Doctor of Chiropractic degree from D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY. Previous to Chiropractic school, Dr. Findlay graduated from Notre Dame College in Cleveland, Ohio, where he was a 4-year varsity baseball player at the D2 NCAA level. At Notre Dame, he earned a Bachelor of Arts with concentration in Exercise Science degree as well as a minor in Coaching.
Throughout Dr. Findlay’s experience at D’Youville, he was able to gain clinical practice in a hospital setting at Erie County Medical Center, treating staff and students at the D’Youville clinic and treating post-operative patients at the University of Buffalo Neurosurgery clinic.
Dr. Findlay strives to provide the most recent evidence-based treatments consisting of a wide variety of techniques that include Diversified Technique, Muscular Release Techniques, Drop Technique and Flexion/Distraction. These treatments will consist of chiropractic manipulations, soft tissue therapy, spinal mobilizations, rehabilitative exercises and patient education. Dr. Troy has also completed his Level 1 concussion management certification with Shift Concussion Management.
Troy has a special interest in athletes of all ages. Having played sports his whole life, he has a wide repertoire of knowledge in the biomechanical movements that are needed to compete across many different sports. Sports in which Troy has treated athletes include but are not limited to: professional baseball, minor league hockey, professional lacrosse, national level wrestlers, kickboxing, jiu-jitsu, golf, dance, gymnastics, soccer, etc. Troy also has a special interest in coaching where he has run Catching clinics for Bullet Proof Baseball in Welland for 3 years.
Outside of clinic you can find Dr. Troy being very active, as he continues to play softball, golf and volleyball. He is also an avid sports fan enjoying the likes of the MLB, NHL, NFL and NCAA sports. When there are no sports to follow, you can find Troy spending time with his wife Danyelle and dog Maizie.
