Zhiliang Xu is a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Registered Acupuncturist with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO). In
1989, Zhiliang Xu graduated from Second Military Medical University (SMMU) with a Bachelor’s in Western Clinical Medicine. Following his studies at SMMU, Zhiliang Xu worked as a pediatrician at Shanghai Hospital for many years. Throughout his years practicing, he has gained significant clinical practice experience in the field of Western Medicine.
Zhiliang Xu has read many ancient Chinese Medicine novels since 2015, including The Yellow Emperor’s Internal Classic, The Yellow Emperor’s External Classic, The ShenNong’s Herbal Classic, The Treatise on Febrile Diseases, The Golden & Precious Synopsis, and Acupuncture & Moxibustion DaCheng. These ancient works have provided Zhiliang Xu with substantial wisdom, spanning back 5000 years, regarding human physiology, pathology, diagnosis, and treatment.
Following his immigration to Canada in 2018, Zhiliang Xu chose to continue his research in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Xhiliang Xu received education in acupuncture and herbal education from the Toronto School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2021. Following this education, he continued his studies at the
Toronto School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, ultimately earning a Graduate Certificate in Chinese Traditional Medicine and Acupuncture in 2023.
Upon his graduation from the Toronto School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Zhiliang Xu passed his Pan-Canada Examination with high scores. He is now a registered member of the College of Traditional
Chinese Medicine Practitioners & Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO).
At NHRC, Zhiliang Xu applies the knowledge he has gained through extensive educational and clinical experiences to his practice. Through the application of acupuncture, moxibustion, and Chinese herbal medicine, he seeks to support his patients in achieving their personal health goals.
